We sat down with Dina Alexiou from Ray White Brighton Le Sands (and her agency principal Elia Economou for the first bit!) to talk about how Ailo has revolutionised her working life.

Dina: Since starting with Ailo, it has cut a lot my time in half with Projects.

For instance, when I’m completing a new tenancy from notifying the tenant - Ailo does it all. You can see from the beginning to the end and assign the project to anyone in your team from a leasing assistant to a property manager.

Dina: I didn’t like it.

I’m not one for change, I don’t like change. The software that we were using prior to Ailo took us a while to move onto and we were with it for a few years. Now that we’re with Ailo - I wish we started earlier. It’s fantastic.

Elia: It was a bit of a challenge getting Dina on board with a change the second time. Having done it once before with a different software solution doing it again within a short period of time - It wasn’t easy!

We had to go through baby steps to convince Dina and the rest of the team that it was the right thing for us.

I wish it was around 5 years ago because Dina would have grown our business five times more than what we have done. It has given us opportunities because it has freed our business up to focus on opportunities rather than micromanaging processes.

Dina: I definitely agree. It has freed up my time a lot.

From beginning to end I have more time and I don’t go home stressed. I can clock off at the end of the day and not have to worry about what I have to do tomorrow. I’m not making notes in bed because I can see everything I need to do on my screen.

Dina: Leave the office! Go for a walk, go and have lunch! Because before I was so consumed with getting all the work done in a timely manner I would just eat at my desk. Our whole team would do that.

Now, every Friday we sit and have lunch as a team and that is not something we could do before.

Dina: Recruiting is definitely hard in this day and age for whatever reason. I don’t know why, it might be because of Covid or changing legislation making it harder. We had been looking for staff for six months and we have now employed two juniors. One of them is a leasing officer and she is really good. It’s her first real job in real estate and we gave her a chance. When she started we were using another software but once we started using Ailo she transitioned across to Ailo and has found it easier to use than our previous software.

It’s as easy to use as Facebook.

Dina: Ailo is just so easy to use and learn.

For younger people they just find it really easy to navigate from the training to actually using the product. Plus, the support is second to none. You can email them, you can chat to them live which works really well. They are responding quickly and they solve the problem. I haven’t had any issues with Ailo they haven’t been able to solve.

Dina: I’m one of those people who stresses when a job isn’t done but since moving to Ailo I’ve been completely calm. Projects has really helped. You’re able to see where you’re at with each Project because there’s steps that can be discussed with the staff very easily.

Ailo has changed my life. I’ll tell you a story.

I have been in real estate for 30+ years (I started really young) and I have been in this office for nearly ten years and I’ve been doing it on my own due to our struggle to find staff. I handed in  my resignation just after Christmas. Elia (principal) was very upset and initially thought it was a joke. He put my resignation letter to the side and he said “please reconsider, let’s go to PMC and see if Ailo is right for us and we can have a chat after that.”

We came back from PMC and I’m still here.

Dina: Real estate has been my life for the past thirty years. It’s not that I was afraid to move forward but I could see the change that Ailo was making to the office environment and me. I knew that with Ailo and what it brings to the table, I’m not as stressed.

I’m now able to not have late nights in the office. I can know in the morning that I won’t have a desk piled high with jobs that need to be done. It’s changed my life.

If this is the future of the industry, I’m in it for the long haul.

Dina: It is scary, any change is scary but I say - Go for it. You won’t regret it.
