At Ailo, our mission is to make property management better for everyone. One of the ways we will achieve this is by tackling one of the white whales of the industry: a property manager’s hectic, never-ending, crazy-busy daily task list.
So we decided to rebuild, from the ground up, key property management workflows to make them simpler, more capable, and cohesive for you.
One of the most fundamental property management workflows, inspections was high on our hit list. So, we built the entire, intricate inspections workflow into Projects and the Ailo for Property Managers mobile app.
The workflow was simple to learn and follow, and cohesive. But we also knew that to really free up time for everyone – and to help you deliver a flawless first impression with new tenants – we had to expand the workflow’s capability even further. We had to go paperless and beyond.
Tell your renters to put their pens (and 100+ page reports) down!
With you, they just need their phone. Check out the new seamless inspection experience you can offer your renters in the video above.
It’s simple, capable, and cohesive for renters, and we made sure it stays super simple for you too.
✅ Electronic signing
✅ Automated notifications
✅ Automated reminders
✅ Time-stamping renter photos
✅ Signature tracking and more!
Renters who tried the new paperless experience told us they particularly loved the focus placed on collaboration. Because, why have one person do an inspection, when you can have two, or three, or even more! Everything is faster and easier when it's done collaboratively.
95% of renters gave us a big thumbs up in the pilot! Check it out 👇

Now, we may have built an intricate and capable workflow, but our focus from the very beginning has been to keep it simple. Property managers have more important things to do than wait for a 95-page document to print or follow-up new tenants to remind them to return the 10 kilo package during business hours.
Ultimately, our goal with Inspections (and all Projects!) is to help you deliver a better experience for your customers by automating anything that should be automated, providing more context so you can make better decisions faster, and helping you collaborate with colleagues.
“In just two Projects actions, you’ve electronically signed your report, shared it with all renters, notified them, reminded them, collected all the data, and tracked their signatures. Most of this happens automatically, under the hood, you barely even notice it!”

We tested our new Inspections workflow thoroughly and had many agencies participate in our pilot program to experience it firsthand and share their feedback. Catherine spills the beans on Ailo’s new paperless inspections.
Going beyond paperless to save you even more time
We’re not done yet. Actually, we’re just getting started. Some of the things we’re exploring based on your feedback:
🎥 Rich media like videos and 360 degree photos.
We want to expand our capabilities to provide an immersive and interactive experience through all types of inspections and for everyone. Rich media like videos and 360 degree photos are just examples of what we’re exploring.
📲 Finalise and send inspection reports from mobile.
The mobile app is one of the most important parts of our product. We plan to add a lot more capabilities to enable you to do more on the go. One of the main things we’ll add is the ability for you to finalise and send inspections right from the app.
🚀 Faster overall experience
We understand the expectation to have everything be snappy. As you are reading this, we’re working hard to make everything go faster, in particular, the inspections experience on mobile.
🧰 Repairs ↔︎ Inspections.
Creating repairs from the photos you took at inspections? Yep, we hear you. We will enable much deeper connections between the inspections and repairs workflows and extend these functionalities to mobile as well.
Expect some significant improvements to come to the other fundamental property management workflow, repairs and maintenance. Looking ahead, we’re excited to dig into a more seamless repairs experience to help you build even stronger connections with your renters, investors and suppliers. Stay tuned for more!
