We’ve said it once and we’ll say it again: no-one is busier than a property manager. Between conducting inspections, scheduling repairs, winning new business and hosting opens, you’ve barely got time to blink.
Which is why product manager Lav and the team added notifications into Ailo – a live list of alerts that require your attention. You get notified when a project, action, or routine inspection is created or assigned to you by others, and when renters sign conditions reports (or miss the deadline!).
Maddi is a property manager at a boutique property management business on Sydney’s exclusive North Shore. Working two-days a week, her hot tip for other part-timers: use notifications to get up-to-speed on everything that happened while you were away in the time it takes for the kettle to boil!

As a part-time worker, how do you know where to begin when you come into the office?

I go straight to my notifications in Ailo. I’m only in the office two days a week so it gives the opportunity for everyone in the office to be able to pass on actions for me to do when I’m back in. So as soon as I come into the office, I can see exactly what needs to be done.

Talk me through your morning from the moment you come in.

So I came into the office today and noticed that the notifications have been turned on for all the actions that another team member has assigned me, which is really helpful.
I can see exactly what needs to be done. For example, checking up on if a tenant's repairs have been done, and seeing the progress of certain repairs or lease renewals.
Or, if someone else had started a new tenancy on a day that I wasn't in the office, I could pick up straight away from where they left off, because I know exactly what's been done and what hasn't been done.

“Ailo thinks like a property manager and does exactly what you would want it to do.”

How does it feel knowing you can just skim through your notifications and My Actions to get up-to-speed?

I feel less stressed with the workload. Everything's just there in the one place, and I can see what hasn't been done and what has been done and get to my actions and get them done.
I love Ailo. It's really straightforward.
Ailo has everything that you need inside the one program. You're not having to jump between several different apps to be able to get your job done. It definitely makes things easier.

What is your advice to property managers considering moving to Ailo?

Do it. I've worked in other agencies before so I've used a few different platforms, so speaking from experience. It's so great just to have everything there. I love Ailo!
