Sam Borner, the director of Ray White Ballarat, tells us how his property managers have dramatically increased their capacity with Ailo.
We’re working in an age where everyone expects things now. It’s a ‘now’ generation.
If you order an Uber you expect it within five minutes and the generation doesn’t differ in what their expectations are in real estate.
Previously we were using a server based system which was about 25 years old. It wasn’t good for our staff or our clients. By making the switch to Ailo we’re able to generate something that’s a bit more modern. I’ve been calling it a ‘modern facility’. It allows our customers to be interactive in their app, it allows them access to their funds and to run their finances a lot better.
I think it offers us everything we’ve been looking for.

What do your investors think about Ailo?
Our experience in Ailo is that our success rate has increased dramatically.
We’re able to win a lot more listings from having Ailo as a point of difference from other agencies. The landlords really enjoy having the ability to see their money and access their money instantly. The flexibility for them is amazing and that’s what they really enjoy the best.
How has Ailo helped your team?
Ailo has played a massive role in that shift. It allows our staff to actually be happy in what they are doing. Again, we were on an older system where they were really bogged down and the system crashed a couple of times a week. So having something that’s modern and easy to use and makes our communication with our customers so much easier makes them happy too.
If they’re happy in the office they want to come to work and they want to enjoy what they do and that improves our culture as well.
Our team has saved a lot of time. It’s probably brought back about 30% capacity in each individual and that has allowed them to offer better service to our customers. Obviously they can now take on more properties as individuals as well but having a happier team gives us more capacity as well. It allows you to grow your business without having to put more staff on.
It makes their life so much easier and allows them to do things more efficiently and communicate more efficiently with our clients and that’s the main thing.
