Diane Dooley runs the property management division of a successful boutique real estate agency in Sydney's south, Social Property Agents.

- She worked for the merchandise company that won the contract for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games
- She was one of the first property managers in Australia to use Ailo!
With almost 3.5 years of Ailo experience under her belt, Diane sat down with our team to reflect on her journey, the features released over the years that “changed her life”, and her advice to other offices considering Ailo. Check it out👇
You’ve been using Ailo for a long time now!
Yes, we started using Alo in April 2021. We were probably one of the first! And since we’ve joined, we've never looked back. We just loved the program.
What are some features that were released after you started using Ailo that have fundamentally changed the way you work?
Projects! This was a huge help, because there wasn't anything available like that when we first joined Ailo. If you can believe it, we had to run our old system alongside Ailo at the time! So Projects has been a big, big benefit.
I also love the search function where you can search bills for bills via invoice or supplier. On and also we love, love, love the paperless inspections – it has been a game changer!
How is Ailo’s paperless inspection experience different to the old way you managed things?
It’s way easier. I find that the tenants, we’re just not changing them up because it’s got a due date on them. And the place where a tenant can disagree with something; they can put a comment in, and Ailo gets them to take a photo. They can't go past that without doing that, which is brilliant.
And we don't have to have the need for expensive photocopiers and printers anymore. We’ve just canceled our photocopier and printer subscription and are sending it back, so it saved us a lot of money! It’s brilliant also because it just cuts down on all the paperwork that we have to do.
And if you were an office thinking of coming onto Ailo, what are your words of wisdom?
I would say, do it! It's just been a game changer for us. It’s brilliant.
With all the compliance now around property management, [Ailo’s] in-built checklists are brilliant – when you're doing a task, ticking them off when things have been completed makes it easy. And we’ve had great feedback from owners and tenants – both of them love it.
It’s also freed up our time so we can go out and drum up new business. We're not bogged down in the-day-to-day banking and things like that. Actually we’ve had quite a few referrals now that we’re on Ailo, too.
